Project Overview
For this project, I collaborated on the design and development of an E-Commerce website for Ar-Raqib, a retailer specializing in Islamic fashion, essentials, fragrances, and kids’ clothing. Using WordPress as the development platform, I created a custom, fully responsive, and interactive website tailored to the client’s needs. The goal was to build a modern and user-friendly platform that showcased a diverse range of products, supported secure online transactions, and provided an optimal user experience on all devices.
To achieve this, I focused on delivering a cohesive blend of technical functionality and aesthetic appeal. The website was designed to highlight the brand’s value while integrating advanced E-Commerce features. The site also incorporated blogs, live Google Reviews and Instagram feeds, email subscription forms, and seamless navigation to enhance customer engagement. Post-launch, I implemented a robust maintenance plan, including regular backups, security scans, and content updates, ensuring the website’s continued performance and reliability.
Challenge
The main challenge was creating a platform that could effectively manage and display a wide range of product categories while maintaining a sleek and intuitive design. Additionally, the site needed to function flawlessly on all devices and integrate live, real-time feeds to keep content dynamic and engaging.
To overcome these challenges, I utilised WordPress plugins and customizations to develop a scalable, responsive website architecture. Rigorous testing ensured that animations, transitions, and features such as secure payments and account management worked seamlessly.
Results
The completed website delivered excellent results for the client. It enhanced customer engagement by integrating live Google Reviews and Instagram feeds, while streamlined navigation and responsive design improved user experience across devices. Secure payment options and an optimized checkout process reduced cart abandonment, leading to higher conversion rates.
